Rayn Barrett

Rayn Barrett was born and raised in Hephzibah, Georgia, where she developed a strong sense of community and a passion for helping others. After graduating from Hephzibah High School in 2008, Rayn spent the next few years exploring life in Virginia and Texas before returning home to pursue her education and career in healthcare.

In 2012, Rayn graduated with honors from Virginia College of Augusta, earning her certification as a Medical Assistant. Her education provided her with a solid foundation in the healthcare field, and her dedication to learning and growing in her profession has allowed her to build a well-rounded career in a variety of specialties.

Throughout her career, Rayn has gained experience in several medical disciplines, including Colon & Rectal, Urogynecology, OBGYN, Pediatrics, and Orthopedics & Sports Medicine. She developed a particular passion for Orthopedics & Sports Medicine, and for five years, she worked closely with Dr. Beau Gedrick in the Orthopedics department at Augusta University. During her time there, Rayn honed her skills in patient care and office procedures.

Rayn is excited to continue working with Dr. Beau Gedrick and his wife, Dr. Brooke Gedrick, in their new venture at Flex Health. This opportunity is a culmination of her years of experience, and she looks forward to contributing to the success of the practice and providing top-notch care to patients.

In addition to her career in healthcare, Rayn has recently ventured into entrepreneurship with the creation of Stay Wild Design Company, a small business specializing in custom t-shirt designs. Her creative side, paired with her drive to offer something unique, led her to develop this new venture.

Outside of work, Rayn is a devoted wife to Marshall Barrett and proud mother of two energetic and wonderful sons, Jase and Charlie. When they’re not working, the Barrett family can often be found at a ballfield of some sort. Jase has played travel baseball for 4 years and just recently started playing football, and Charlie eagerly cheers on his older brother with excitement—waiting for the day when it’s his turn to take the field.

Rayn’s strong family values, her dedication to her profession, and her commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of others define who she is both personally and professionally. With her background and passion for Orthopedics & Sports Medicine, she is excited for the future and the new opportunities that lie ahead at Flex Health.
