Lisa Branon grew up in St. Louis, MO and after high school, moved to Jacksonville, FL to attend University of North Florida where she obtained her Bachelor’s in Health Science – Athletic Training. She moved to Augusta, GA in 2001 where she began working at the Medical College of Georgia as an outreach Certified Athletic Trainer servicing multiple high schools in Richmond County as well as community athletic teams including the Augusta Rugby Club, Greater Augusta Swimming, and Aiken Augusta Swim League. Lisa spent 10 years dedicated to providing the highest quality healthcare to area high school athletes where you would see her on the football sidelines, the end of basketball/volleyball player benches and baseball/softball dugouts caring for injured athletes and acting as one of their biggest fans. Lisa completed her Masters in Sport Management from the United States Sports Academy in 2007.

Lisa became the first Head Athletic Trainer at Paine College in 2010 and spent the next 6 years supporting the Paine Lions with all of their healthcare needs. In 2016, Lisa transitioned to a clinical coordinator role within the Sports Medicine department at Augusta University working alongside and managing all patient care needs for Orthopedic Surgeon and Department Chair of Orthopedics Dr. David Hunter. In 2018, Lisa assisted with the creation, implementation, and management of the first Orthopedic walk-in clinic in Augusta called Ortho On-Demand.

By 2020, Lisa had been promoted to the title of Supervisor of Orthopedic Ancillary Services where she wore many different hats in her daily responsibilities. She served as the manager of the outreach athletic training program overseeing the direction of 23 athletic trainers working in various schools around the CSRA with the focus on providing dedicated athletic training services for Richmond County high schools, Augusta Preparatory Day School, Westminster Schools of Augusta, Fox Creek High School, Midland Valley High School, Silver Bluff High School and Paine College. In addition to managing the outreach athletic training program, Lisa was also responsible for developing the role of the athletic trainer in the physician’s practice where she managed 4 clinical athletic trainers that were each dedicated to a specific Orthopedic Surgeon assisting with all clinical duties in the Orthopedic Department and assisting in the operating room. Another hat worn by Lisa was that of the Ortho On-Demand manager where she could be seen daily working alongside the providers to provide care to an average of 400 patients a month. She also donned the hat of being the DME Manager where she developed and implemented an in-house billing component for all Durable Medical Equipment dispensed throughout 3 different AU Orthopedic locations.

Lisa has worked with Dr. Beau Gedrick for the last 7 years and is so excited to be a part of Flex Health where healthcare is done differently!

When Lisa isn’t busy working, she enjoys hanging out with her husband Matt and their 2 children attending various sporting events and listening to live music events. Ryne is currently attending University of Missouri and Brock is currently in 2nd grade.
